One of the biggest hurdles when it comes to using new software is the ease of use and start-up options that a company may offer.  With FastTrack Schedule 10 we know that many users want to hit the ground running and learn everything there is about the software. For this reason we offer a number of training and consulting options to choose from.

The first option that we offer is our E-Training Classes. These classes are live, instructor-led classes which are hosted through the GoToMeeting environment.  They are designed to present a pre-set syllabus of information to users, to allow them to learn about the specific items they are interested in.  We offer 3 types of E-Training Classes: JumpStart, Fundamentals, and Managing.  In each course users are provided with schedules as well as PDF manuals for continued reference as they continue to use the software.

The JumpStart class is designed to get users up and running as quickly as possible.  This is a 90 minute class in which we cover topics such as outlining a schedule, creating and assigning resources, and printing the project.  This is a great place for users to start if they don’t have much time to dedicate to learning the software, and they are interested in simply getting their projects scheduled.

The Fundamentals class dives deeper into the customization and reporting options that FastTrack Schedule 10 offers.  After setting up a schedule in AEC Software’s recommended way, users take a closer look at some of the various customizable column types that the software offers, such as Text and Number columns.  Once the users have added additional data we take a look into how to create unique reports in the project, to present the data in the best possible way, and how this can be used to minimize the number of pages for printouts.  Finally after all aspects have been added, users learn to save and use templates to ease creation of future projects.

The Managing class is considered to be our advanced-level class, and goes into some of the higher-end features of the software.  Users start by taking a look at both Effort Driven and Fixed Duration scheduling, and how these scheduling methods will function.  Users then create resources and assign them unique costs to track both time and costs throughout the project.  Once costs have been calculated based on resource allocations, users then learn to use customized calculation columns to find cost variances throughout the project.  Users also learn about the various progress tracking options that FastTrack Schedule 10 offers and how to utilize them as their project occurs.  Finally users learn how to combine schedules using the Consolidation feature so that they can combine all of their projects into a Master File to get a “birds-eye view” across all schedules.

An additional training option that we offer is the ability to put together Customized Training for you and your team.  With this option we build a course and specific learning materials to best fit the user’s needs.  We are able to tailor classes using any information from our pre-defined classes as well as any other topic a user may want to ensure they get the most out of the software in the smallest amount of time.

The final option that we offer to help users get into the software as quickly as possible is Custom Consulting.  With consulting we are able to provide services such as user onboarding, question and answer sessions, or building of templates in schedules.  With consulting services we first set up assessments to determine the customer’s needs, and then provide them with a detailed list of everything that we can do for them to meet those needs.  A Statement of Work is issued to the customer for approval before any work is begun. We then work closely with the customer to ensure the final deliverable is exactly what they need and something that will make FastTrack as efficient as possible at their company.

Are you new to the software, or a seasoned user who’s looking to pick up a few extra tricks?  With the FastTrack Schedule 10 Training Options we can provide something to meet your needs at any level.  If you have any questions about the classes or would like more information on our offerings just let us know!
